Short Take: MedicaLogic/Medscape to trim work force
MedicaLogic/Medscape, a medical-records software company that offers services online, said it plans to cut about 110 jobs, or 10 percent of its work force, and will reduce costs by $20 million a year. MedicaLogic, which bought Medscape and eMed this year, said the job cuts, which will take place during the next three months, are part of a plan to restructure and become profitable.
